Adam Or Empathy Onsite Screening For Drug Abuse Detection

One of the most widely used drugs for recreation is MDMA or ecstasy. Though originally it was called as ADAM or EMPATHY and was released as a neuro-psychotropic drug, yet its wide spread abuse has earned it the name ecstasy as well as a ban under the Unites Nations regulations. Therapeutically it has an antidepressant action and has good benefits in patients with depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder. But it is commonly abused in the dance parties that go by the name raves.

Taken mostly in the form of tablets, MDMA is also present in pure, crystalline and capsular form called the molly. It is also widely used as a cocktail with other drugs like LSD, Psilocybin and ketamine.

The drugs are seen in blood after ingestion in 2 to 3 hours and are widely circulated and can be detected in blood even long after the cessation of the effect of the drug. An important feature of MDMA is that it tends to produce tolerance over a period of time. So you need to take higher doses in subsequent occasions to produce the same kick.

It is metabolized in the liver by two distinct mechanisms and is excreted mostly unchanged in urine along with its metabolites. The best way to detect MDMA is to do a urine drug testing as the drug can be detected even after 24 hours of ingestion. Testing for more than one drug is essential in cases of cocktail consumption.

Ecstasy drug test is also known by several other phrases like xtasy drug test, extasy drug test or xtasy piss test is in many cases done with multiple other strips because usually this drug is consumed as a cocktail with a combination of other drugs. Perhaps a 10 panel drug screen would be a good bet.
