Sleeping pills act as sleeping aid for sleeping disorders, mainly insomnia and sleep apnea. Sleeping pills have some amount of hypnotic drug, which helps in creating a tranquilizing effect on the mind. Due to this, the mind of the person calms down, thus promoting sleep. Sleeping pills are always recommended by doctors in smaller dosages, for shorter periods, however chronic the problem may be. This is because, excess intake of sleeping pills exaggerate the problem further instead of curing it. Excess usage of sleeping pills makes the individual get addicted to it leading to numerous and severe side effects on the body, sometimes proving to be fatal.

There are nearly 400 chemicals in marijuana. It is identified that above 60 of these chemicals interfere with the normal brain functioning. The parts of the brain, which deal with memory response, thought process, sensation of pleasure, movement coordination, perception and concentration levels, are effected by the those chemicals of the marijuana. So pleasure, memory, sensory and time perception, thinking, concentrating and coordinated movement of the user are influenced by smoking marijuana. This is the reason why marijuana smokers feel high.

Drug abuse and addiction is an in disciplinary action which is not accepted by the society. Especially companies avoid drug addicted workers to maintain the discipline in the companies. Companies require only the candidates who are sincere at their work and free from substance. Hence they conduct drug test at the time of interview. Only those who clear the drug test will be selected in the interview. Drug testing for pre employment has made compulsory in the companies to avoid drug addicted candidates. This involves pre employment drug screening tests like job drug testing.

Drug addiction will spoil the character of an individual leading to in disciplinary action such as quarreling, fighting, and robbing sometimes even motivate to kill others. Drug when abused will change the behavior of the abuser. Drug mimics the function of central nervous system and reduce the personal ability and cognitive thinking of the abuser. Moreover drug addiction has more serious side effects leading to coma and death. Thus drug abusers thinking and behavior varies from normal candidate and does not suit for working.

Drug addicted workers will not attend the work punctually as a consequence reduction of production and great loss to company. If the drug addicted worker met with an injury during the work hour’s company have to take responsible to pay insurance and other expenses. Drug addicted workers will bring a lot of draw back to the company. Company growth may decrease and the status of company will be spoiled.

Company prefers the candidates who are free from drugs. Drug free habit gives the good conduct of the candidate and can be selected easily in the interview. Passing employment drug test will ensure the candidate with appointment to work in the company for long time. Thus companies hires drug free candidate for their welfare.
