Drug testing mainly targets the people who are addicted to marijuana, heroin and cocaine. Drug testing is more common in work place. Some workers are dug addicted which spoils the work place and other workers. Moreover it affects the production. Hence the company have implemented drug testing in jobs.
Now day’s drug testing at work place is considered as discrimination rather than the reparation. The potential out come of drug testing at work place are impairment of status, loss of job, loss of benefits and pensions, imprisonment, loss of care for children and family, etc.
The core motive for the company to implement the drug testing program is to have good disciplined environment in the workplace. Workers feel discriminated when they are forced to take drug test and during sample collection which are carried out publically. During hiring process the candidates feel discriminated if the drug test result is positive. Not all the times drug testing will be accurate. There is a chance for the positive result where that sample donor have not drug abused. This will be one of the reasons for not getting selected in the interview. Besides he is discriminated in front of others.
Samples are collected for drug testing even from non users. Some of the non users will not accept for the drug test. If the positive results are reported from drug test the particular donor is taken away from the company. So that company reduces the risk caused due to drug addicted workers such as insurance claim, loss of production and other losses.
Employer drug testing, drug testing in the workplace, drug testing at work, work place drug screen are the test followed to ensure the worker’s status of drug addiction during work. The results obtained from these test depends up on your addiction status.

Every year for athletic events, the NCAA Drug-Testing program has been a stable prompt. Drug NCAA testing is a drug test for sports which tests for all sports.
If the NCAA is going to do drug testing professional athlete for banned Bylaw 31.2.3.1 and you are going to be tested positive for banned drugs, which are listed in the NCAA drug testing protocol, you will be declared ineligible and banned to participate in regular season and post season competition for 365 days in a calendar year. A minimum of one season loss of participation in all competitions will be set in.
However, before you re-participate in the next season you will have to participate in the drug testing for college athlete and you must be tested negative. When you test negative in the retest, the NCAA will restore your eligibility by the NCAA Student Athlete Reinstatement Committee.
It should be noted that not all participants will test negative the second time, if the athlete is going to test positive the second time for the use of any street drug in the retesting Bylaw 31.2.3.1 and you will be losing the eligibility for post season and regular season sports.
As a penalty for not participating in the scheduled drug test the NCAA executive committee will impose a penalty for nonparticipation. The penalty is that you must be retesting negative to have your eligibility restored per the NCAA Student Athlete Reinstatement Committee Bylaw 18.4.1.5.1
”We let the athletes know that they are all subject to testing,” comments N.C.A.A.’S Committee For Drug Testing ”We want them to expect to be tested.” The purpose of drug testing is to not make the athletes feel guilty and getting caught, but the motive is to prevent them from abusing.
This program has been in the area under discussion of analysis and has occasionally for N.C.A.A Drug Testing provoked alarm. There have been reports of coaches who have detached their whole team, from the sport when two players smelled of disgusting odor of marijuana coming from a next-door room. Probably, because they were afraid that the players will fail their tests; if the smoke in someway made its way into their systems.
There were also reports of doctors fearing to give prescriptions or cold tonic to athletes who had to face a NCAA debarred record, but still drug testing continues, they are stable in their rules.

A lab drug test that is done with test strips provides a qualitative indication of the amount of specific drugs in urine; however, with the kind of lab drug testing that uses test strips and test cards it is not possible to determine the exact amount of drug that is present in any sample, it can only provide with preliminary results. A more specific method of laboratory drug test should be used in order to obtain a quantitative result in compliance with. SAMHSA and other regulatory agencies, most of such confirmatory testing are the gas chromatography / mass spectrometry (GC/MS) methods. These testing methods are widely approved and accepted as a confirmatory method for most drugs.

The accuracy of a drug test is an essential issue that must be considered when choosing a test for a particular purpose. When considering accuracy for drug and reliability to test urine, look at the budget, location, and level of accuracy needed.
Urine tests are 95% to 98% accurate when done at home, at work, or anywhere else. These drug test kits are easy to use, FDA approved, follow SAMSHA cut off guidelines and are inexpensive. However, they only qualify as a preliminary test. Urine specimen testing, or an Adulterant Test, confirms that the urine specimen is unadulterated, lending further validity to the urine tests. When considering the accuracy of a drug test, urine samples must be analyzed for adulteration.

The Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments was passed by congress in 1988 to establish quality standards for laboratory testing to ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness. It is not be confused with CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) which is an association for pleasure cruises.
CLIA is financially managed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and is user fee funded. Regulated facilities pay for the program. Laboratories include any testing facility that does laboratory testing on samples from humans. Approximately 189,000 facilities are covered by this program. The Center for Medicaid and State Operations (CMSO) implements the CLIA Program.
There is an avenue for reporting complaints about a laboratory by contacting your state agency. You can find the right contact for your state on the State Agency and Regional Office CLIA contacts page at clia cma.hhs.gov. Remember that reporting inappropriate service at a laboratory does not only protect you from improper care, but protects other people using the facility and future clients. Without feedback from the people using the facility, the program would lose a valuable method of overseeing regulated laboratories.
To report a complaint about a laboratory, contact the appropriate State Agency that is found on the State Agency & Regional Office CLIA Contacts page located in the left navigation bar in this section.
The CLIA provides a level of service from laboratories to ensure that human specimens are tested accurately and in a timely manner. CLIA ensures that laboratories are held to standards that lend legitimacy to test results.
