Ovulation in every individual will depends on the frequency the length of the menstrual cycle. Ovulation prediction test will predict the occurrence of ovulation during menstrual cycle.

Ovulation test kits are available at the market. The main role of ovulation testing kit is to detect the level of lutenizing hormone. Lutenizing hormone is the main source and initiates the ovulation process by producing LH surge. LH surge is produced with in a short time in the menstrual cycle. So predicting the level of LH aids you to know how much fertile you are and when ovulation takes place. Hence ovulation testing kit is considered as one of the effective tool. If your ovulation test result is positive it denotes that you can become fertile with in next three days.

Ovulation testing requires urine sample. It is better to collect urine in the afternoon session between 3 pm in the afternoon. The LH surge will not be produced in the early morning urine. The other important criteria in ovulation testing are to take test at the same time on each day. This will produce better result. Avoid intake of water or any liquid prior to testing because it may dilute the LH in the urine. The strips are inserted into the samples for results and are reported immediately.
