Drug tested are conducted in various situations which are well organized by the companies or schools or at any group.

Following are the most common or widespread test conducted in work place:

Pre employment drug testing is conducted at the time of hiring the candidates. It tests for individual’s illicit drug use. It is typically confidential test and is conducted with privacy. Applicants must accept for the drug testing procedure and should submit their urine sample in time.

Reasonable suspicion testing is like probable-cause test or for-cause testing and is carried out when supervisors document visible signs and indication had leaded them to suspect drug abuse during work hours. It is very important to have apparent, reliable definitions of what performance give good reason for drug and alcohol testing and any doubt should be confirmed by one more supervisor or manager.

Post accidental testing is taken after the accident had taken place. Because properties and other possessions are damaged by the accidents and company have to pay for it. More over company have to take the whole responsibility for the accidents.

Random test is the unannounced test which is carried out during working hours. Workers are selected randomly without any prior information and are instructed to submit the urine sample for testing.

Periodic test is otherwise known as scheduled test which is regularly conducted every month with definite interval period.
