Workplace Drug tests
Pre employment drug testing and work place drug testing have become a part of hiring process. Work place drug testing enables the workers to be alert and free from drug abuse during work hours. If any of the workers is found to be drug addicted during work hours they are taken to rehab centers which are also implemented at work place. Companies are more radiant they want to prevent the drug addiction and consequence of it. Drug testing and drug rehab program will reduce the threat experienced by the company owners.
Employers are screened for drugs at work place it self. Workers are asked to submit their urine sample. Urine sample are collected and stored in a separate container with correct labeling to avoid confusion. But the workers who sought to pass the drug test adulterate the urine sample during sample collection. This was a trouble shooting activity for drug testing. After that they stopped the transport of collected sample to the labs as the chances for adulteration increases. Most of the drug testing centers uses 5 panel drug screens or 12 panel drug test at work place. Because 5 and 12 panel drug test could screen for multiple drugs at a time from a single urine sample. This test is not time consuming and report the results with in 5 – 10 minutes. Adulteration of sample can be checked by test for adulterants. Adulteration has become more common in the work place drug test. Drugs like marijuana, THC, cocaine and morphine are tested at the work place either by panel drug test or lab drug testing. Marijuana drug testing, THC testing, poppy testing are commonly conducted test in work place. This test begins with the collection of urine sample from the workers and is sent to laboratory for qualitative test.
